The Why Behind This Blog

   My main intention in creating this blog was to keep family and friends updated on Joel's journey with Apert Syndrome. I very much value the many prayers said for our family and the great support so many of you have given us spiritually, emotionally, physically and even financially at times. We have been greatly impacted on this journey by the way we have felt the love of Christ overwhelm us over and over again through so many of you, and that support has been so important in helping us to endure the hard moments. At this stage in my life with small children, I often spend periods of time away from blogging, but although I leave this blog untouched for weeks, months, and occasionally even years at a time, I have committed to popping back in ever so often to allow a glimpse into our day-to-day life and updates on Joel's medical process. Know that each word of encouragement and each prayer said for us is greatly appreciated. I pray that the lessons we learn as we walk this path and the joy Joel brings to us can bless and encourage you in some way in your walk as well.
